Objectives : To officially start the Rota year 2010-11 of Rotary club of Pokhara Annapurna and to officially induct the charter members of Rotaract club of Annapurna
Jointly with : Rotary Club of Annapurna, Rotary Club of Fishtail, Rotary Club of Pokhara, and Rotary Club of Midtown

  Rotary Club of Pokhara Annapurna 5th Installation Ceremony and Rotaract Charter Installation ~ 3292   On July 10, 2010, the 5th Installation Ceremony was organized by the Rotary Club of Pokhara Annapurna (RCA) at the Hotel Barahi, Lakeside, Pokhara.   This event was mostly attended by the RCA members, their families, and guests. RCA is grateful to Mr.Rtn Kiran Lal Shrestha (Assistant Governor Zone 16 of District 3292) for accepting our humble invitation to attend the event. Thanks are also expressed toall our honorable guests for sharing their motivational words of wisdom to enable us to better improve our “Service above Self.”   The following activities were carried out during the event: Yearly souvenir Annapurna Mirror 2009/2010 was launched. RCA Club members’ children were recognized for their achievements in their School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examination for the year 2010. RCA recognized and made an award to Mr. Rosh Gurung for his dedication and service for club activities. Dr. Sunita Gurung received the outstanding member award. Mr. Dilli Prasad Sharma received the outstanding board member award. Ms. Kamala Gurung received the RCA vocational award for her work and contribution to organic farming. The Geetanjali Sahitya Pariwar received the community service award for their work and commitment to folk music, songs, and poetry. A warm welcome was given to Rtn Ram Prasad Bastakoti and Mr. Bhupendra Man Shrestha for their enthusiasm and interest to be a part of our RCA family. RCA donated Rs 5555/- to Mr. Naryan Karki, (Chairman Media Association of Kaski) for the construction of a building. During the inauguration, Rtr. Dinesh Shanker Palikhe, (RCA President 2010-2011) and Rtr. Nikesh Prasad Karmachary, (Rotaract President 2010-2011), made their commitments to serve for a new term as Presidents. Rtr. Nikesh Prasad Karmacharya, President of Rotaract Club of Annapurna received the chartered certificate. Rotaract board members and active members were officially recognized on the same day.   Many thanks to the organizers who worked extremely hard “behind the scenes” to make this event a grand success.   It is a delight that Rotarians and Rotaract members of RCA have joined forces to provide services that will make an impact on people’s lives and communities. As Rtr. Ray Klinginsmith (President, Rotary International, 2010-11) states, “we need to share our core values of service, fellowship, diversity, integrity, and leadership with other people and organizations.” Thus, with Mr. Klinginsmith’s inspiring words in mind, let us all put our hearts and souls into living our motto “Service above Self.”
